The Service

What is 3D Flick Fix?

A private 3D movie and show collection, currently 2,400+ titles , hosted on our own servers. Subscribers get direct access to single, high-quality files with no download quotas, wait timers or third-party file hosts. See the Service Overview for details.

How do I access the library?

Everything runs over FTP, so any FTP-capable app works. There are three common ways to use it:

  • Download: use an FTP client such as FileZilla, WinSCP or Cyberduck.
  • Stream: apps like CX File Explorer (Android) and 4XVR (VR headsets) can stream straight from FTP.
  • Mount: use rclone to mount the collection as a virtual drive, or as a DLNA server for apps like Plex.

Step-by-step guides are on the Access Options & Setup Guide.

What internet speed do I need?

Files are large, averaging around 30GB each. For smooth streaming we recommend at least 100 Mbps. Slower connections work better for downloading first and watching afterwards.

Why are so many titles conversions?

Most films were never released in 3D, so conversions are the only way to watch them in 3D at home. Our State of 3D page explains how home 3D works, and we run community voting so members can rate the quality of each version.

What do SBS, Half-SBS and Over-Under mean?
  • Full SBS: two full-resolution images side by side. Great for VR headsets and 3D displays.
  • Half SBS: side by side at half horizontal resolution. Smaller files, broadly compatible with 3D TVs and players.
  • Over-Under (TAB): the two images stacked top and bottom. Modern headsets and media players read it natively.

Many movies have several versions, so you can pick the one that suits your device.

We have the movie, but not in the format or language I want. What can I do?

Please don't submit a request for a movie we already have just to get a different format or language. We have tools for that, shared in the Conversion Talk topic on our Telegram. They currently cover:

  • 2D to 3D conversion
  • Adding audio to a movie (taken from a different movie)
  • Adding subtitles from a subtitle file and making them 3D
  • FSBS to HSBS

Don't use Telegram? Email us and ask for the tool you want, and we'll send it along.

You can also do some of this yourself. If we have an ISO, you can make FSBS/HSBS with MakeMKV and BD3D2MK3D, and the process for adding your own language tracks is at rentry.co/3dfflanguages.

Free Sample

Can I try the service before subscribing?

Yes. The free sample uses the same connection method and delivery infrastructure as a paid subscription, but is limited to 3 movies and 1 show. It is the best way to confirm everything works on your device and network. Check the Free Samples page for current availability, as samples are sometimes suspended.

Connecting

What are the server addresses and port?

We run six servers: Sputnik, Tamarind, Fenrir, Challenger, Columbia and Genesis. Each is at SERVERNAME.whatbox.ca on port 13017. Use the username and password from your account email.

The server addresses are FTP addresses, not websites, so they will not open in a browser.

Why are there six servers, and which one am I on?

You are not assigned to a server. Every subscriber can use every server, and your username and password work on all of them. The collection is so large that it is spread across multiple servers, so connect to whichever server holds the title you want. Each movie page shows a server badge telling you where that title lives.

I can't connect. What should I check?
  • Check the Server Status page to see whether the server you are connecting to is down.
  • Make sure the host, port 13017, username and password are exactly as given in your account email.
  • Our servers require IPv4. If FileZilla hangs and never connects, it may be trying IPv6 only. The setup guide has a one-click fix.

If you are still stuck, contact us and tell us which app and device you are using.

Can I watch on a VR headset?

Yes. 4XVR is currently the best option for streaming directly from FTP while keeping ISO playback. You can also stream with CX File Explorer or download files and copy them to the headset, keeping in mind that headset storage is limited. See the VR section of the setup guide.

Can I use Stremio?

Yes, there is a Stremio streaming addon with a quick setup and an advanced self-hosting option. It is covered in the setup guide.

Billing & Support

What does it cost and how can I pay?

Plans from one month to lifetime, along with the accepted payment methods, are listed on the Prices section of the subscription form. We keep them there so they are always current.

How long until my account is ready?

We process payments and create accounts between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM (UTC-7, Arizona time). If you do not hear from us during those hours, check your spam folder for the confirmation email.

Can I get a refund?

The refund rules are firm, but exceptions are made and are considered case by case. Under the policy, refunds are considered if you were charged twice or billed incorrectly, or if we are unable to deliver the service. Subscriptions are fulfilled once access is granted and cannot be downgraded, converted or exchanged. Please read the full Refund Policy.

If your situation is outside those rules, contact us directly by email or Telegram for the fastest results, and explain the issue fully. A refund is not guaranteed, either to be refused or accepted, but we do guarantee that we will listen and judge your case on its merits.

I have a billing problem. What should I do?

Please contact us directly before opening a dispute with your payment provider. Most billing issues can be resolved quickly through direct communication.

How do I contact support?

Use the Contact menu in the header. For fastest results contact us in this order: Telegram, then email (3dff.support@3dflickfix.net), then Facebook. Support is staffed between 9 AM and 9 PM (UTC-7).

Is a movie in the library?

Search the Categories & Search page or browse the A-Z List. If a title is not on our servers yet, you can request it on the Requests page. Requests are only for movies we do not already have. If we have the movie but not in the format or language you want, see the conversion tools above.
